FLH, Andrea and Jon went up-country Maui (which is to say, we went up the side of Haleakala Crater). In Kula, there is a great little Lavender farm (Alii Kula Lavender: http://www.aliikulalavender.com/). 50+ acres of fresh lavender and not too overpowering. It was crisp and clean at the farm.
We ate lavender scones and drank lavender tea. FLH likes it up-country.
