The big day....

On December 18th, our baby turned 1 officially! Although we had parties before the big day, we wanted to make sure the actual day was special and fun (like it mattered to him!) In the morning, Landon and mama went to the zoo, and then went to the blowhole to look for whales. Unfortunately, we didn't see any.
After the zoo, we hung out at home for a while. Here is Landon coloring on some wrapping paper which he ripped off of the roll when we weren't looking. Hey, at least we're recycling it as coloring paper.

In the evening, we went out to dinner and then on a Christmas lights trolley, which was sponsored by our adoption agency.

We all had a great day! Jon and I can't believe how fast the past year has gone and how much our baby has changed. He is just the most wonderful, happy child and we are so blessed that we have him. He is walking everywhere, pointing at things and talking (mostly gibberish, but a few words). Words can't express how much we love him, and we can't wait to see how much he changes over the next year.

Happy 1st Birthday Landon. I miss your gabbing in the morning when I raced to get you up before Mom and Dad woke up, the cheerios you fed me while you giggled and of course your dancing and pointing. Our house is too quiet without you all here. You had about a month's worth of birthdays thanks to all the friends and family your parents have. My love to all of you!
