Soon, we will be moving from Hawaii back to Kansas City. Andrea, Jon and Landon want to thank so many people who have visited us while we've been here. Each set of parents, our siblings, our cousins and friends who have listened, laughed, eaten, explored and allowed us to share with them the gifts of Aloha we've experienced here.
Hopefully, everyone who has visited us has taken something important and meaningful away from the time they've spent. Whether it be hot malasadas, puka dogs, a dip at Hanauma Bay, a ride out to the sand bar or just a drive up to Dole, we have had a great time living, learning and growing.
It is impossible to condense these experiences into something concise and pithy that would do justice to the emotions we are feeling. It would be easy for me to make a highlight list of things that Andrea and I look back upon from time to time; however, I'm afraid it might cheapen the memories. I can safely say that not one visitor that spent time with us had the exact same trip as anyone else. And to be honest with all of you, it was by design.
See, it has always been important for us to save a little something (something new) so that we can have a specific memory with each of you. So, beyond the beaches, the luaus, the boat rides, the body surfing, the drives to the North Shore, the rain and the wonderful scenic vistas - each of you that visited will be able to get with us, share in those moments unique to your time here and it will remain as fresh and vibrant as when you were here.
But, most importantly, thank you all for making those things possible. Leave the light on for us, we'll be home, soon.
The Hall Hale Blog now takes on a new chapter: to keep our ohana (family) in Hawaii up to date on the goings on with the Hall family and the many adventures ahead. For those of you kama'aina who have seen us through the thick and thin: mahalo for your kokua. We love you.
