Okay, so I stole that headline from Tom. I think it sums it up quite nicely. So, basically, the Patriots are going to go down in history as a really, really good 18-1 team that couldn't close the deal. Boston be damned!
Our hotel in Phoenix is full of Pats fans; they are beyond crestfallen. Even the post-game with Belichik seemed like they were at a funeral. Naturally, everyone here is taking solace in the fact that it was a good game. Of course, they should be pissed that Bill Belichik is a brat; leaving the field with 1 second left in the game is a crappy, unprofessional thing to do.
The Giants executed a game plan and forced Brady and Co. to make mistakes and bad plays. The pressure applied by the Giants Defense was amazing (and although they ran out of gas in the last Patriots drive) they put the ball into Eli's hands and kept the G-Men in the game.
Congrats to the Giants. It WAS a fantasic game. We're lucky to have been in town for this game.
