Surfin' USA

Landon and Mama with Diamondhead in the background.

This week, three of Jon's co-workers are in from Santa Cruz, and Jon was fortunate enough to work from Waikiki a few days. Yesterday, Landon and I went down there to put our feet in the water. It was Landon's first time at the beach, and he was pretty indifferent. I don't know how, because it was a beautiful day. I think every time we put him in the car, he thinks, "Where are they taking me now?"

Hmmm... This feels weird on my toes................
My hat's still a little bit big.
For those who are getting ready to comment on the sun exposure, he was only in the sun for about five minutes total and spent the rest of the time under an umbrella.
Right after this picture, a little wave came in and drenched the back of Landon's shorts. Luckily, I always pack an extra outfit. I can't wait until my little one is able to enjoy the beach and we have to pack his bucket and pail. He loves bath time, so hopefully he'll love to swim in the ocean! Jon is already looking for one of those bodyboards for kids that have goggles built in so they can see underwater. Landon will love to look at all of the colorful fish.

I love the laid back Hawaiian look Landon has on his face at the ocean. He has no idea how lucky he is to be in the most beautiful place in the world! But my favorite picture is the one with his amazing smile. He is the cutest baby ever! I am sure of it. Can't wait to hold and spoil him and both of you in April!

Love, Grandma Julie
